I carried this bag around for the last 12 days straight, through airports and my travels across Israel. It held up great and I am really happy with it. Love the 'hidden' side pocket, which is great for small wallet and passports. Love the water bottle holders on both sides, one of which I used for sunglass case. Love having the front pocket for easy access. And, I loved the straps, which are thicker than usual slingsack straps. They are more like narrow seatbelt straps. And, while I wasn't so sure about the back pocket accessible from the outside, I actually did have a use for that, after all. I put my wet water shoes in there, which kept them separated from the rest of my things in the bag to keep them from getting wet. I did get some dirt on the bag and haven't tried to wash it off yet, but I'm thinking of just using a washcloth and soap. If you are looking for something a bit less substantial than a traditional backpack, this is it!Good quality bag. I haven't used it in the rain but I did have a bottle on the side with condensation and nothing got wet in the bag so that bodes well for it's water resistance. The only drawbacks are the straps (I like that they're adjustable but if you do you must put the bag on carefully as to not accidentally pull one side. I may use Velcro between the straps to keep them from slipping once adjusted) and that there is only one small pocket inside. If it had one divided section inside it would be perfect.
