It really does work well as a seat. My fella sat on it and lifted his legs up and it had no problems supporting him, about 180lbs. Got this as a gift for my dad and he loved it! Seems like a nice little cooler.We purchased this cooler for our trip to Hilton Head for it's ability to collapse and transport in our small car. We opened it when we arrived at our condo and laded it up with ice and drinks for the beach. On our way back we noticed water leaking out onto our feet as we carried it. We unloaded it and noticed a 3" crack in the plastic liner, as well as an additional smaller crack. It appeared the plastic of the liner got dried out during seller's storage and cracked. With no additional cooler for our trip, we made due by inserting a plastic grocery bag between the liner and the walls of the cooler to hold the melted ice water in. The cooler was returned upon our arrival home and amazon.com provided a full refund. Would have been great had it not been defective.Love this for outdoor events and road trips.this is awesome! can't believe the price! larger than I thought. holds a lot in side and yes, my husband sat on it and it held him, too!It collapses, u can seat on it, roomy, and keeps the food cold.
